Tlr Reflex Wiring For Sparks.

Featured Replies

Just bolted engine into frame, I have wired up the wires from the alternator / cdi to the cdi box and coil. I take it the charging and lighting side of things can be ignored. Not got any sparks at present, does the kill switch need to be wired in ? Am I missing something? There are a couple of spare wires from the coil, they should be the kill switch, as I have no use for the bulk of the loom I will need to re wire the kill switch as it has the front brake light plugs on it at present. Thanks.

You need to wire the black and red from the alternator to the CDI unit and also the 2 wires from the pulse unit (in front of the front sprocket) into the CDI. (I think they are blue/yellow and green/red?) . The green wire and black wire from the CDI go the the coil. The black and white wire from the CDI unit is for the kill switch. Remember the green earth wire needs to be grounded to the frame.

That all you need to be able to get it to fire. Good luck.
