April 12, 201313 yr Just wondering does the Ossa need a fast tick over like the 4rt? I quite fancy one but I like my bikes set to just tick over. Ian
April 12, 201313 yr No, tick over is generally set by the mapping software so your dealer should be able to set to your personal liking. For me, I like mine a little faster so that is how it is set
January 13, 201412 yr If you change the idle speed using the small screw on the throttle body - that is step No1. Step No2 is to reset the initial throttle position to the ECU, using the software and cable. If you don't complete step No2 then the fuel mix will be incorrect causing fouled plugs etc.
January 13, 201412 yr Just so you remember how important it is, what picktas has so righty pointed out,, IF YOU DONT do step No 2 with software after any changing of the idle speed no matter how minute you think you have done, your ECU is now confused and problems will follow.....
January 13, 201412 yr Or just get one of those btwice throttle bodies that have the idle screw built in, still need to have the tps set when you install but you can then adjust the idles anytime you want without further tps setting
