Hightown The later 250 ('76 on) was sleeved down from the original 244cc 72mm standard bore to 238cc 70mm standard bore. You can still use the original size 250 pistons that start at 72mm standard and there are 4 oversizes, so you won't run out of 'meat' on your liner. So you aren't limited to a 71mm piston
May 22, 201313 yr ok mate no probs. just puting my 198A back together nearley all done just waiting for the exhaust to come back ive had it oven baked going to bolt the engin in tomorrow. ive just put the muduards on ill put the airbox on so there will only be the exhaust and wheels to go on the motor was runing fine before only thing ive done is put a new base gasket on. theres a copper head gasket so i can reuse it just heat it up hen touqe the head down. cheers bondy.
