August 23, 201313 yr hi just got my engin back from the vapor blasting shop so i can start the rebuild know yepee.
August 23, 201313 yr Very clean indeed, I wouldn't have blasted the inner sides of the cases, the bearing seats or the support of the cylinder head. But maybe I'am a little bit too cautious?
August 23, 201313 yr Nice job ,and glad to see you have a nice stack of Koyo's there instead of Chinese pish .
August 24, 201313 yr Author got 2 buy another main bearing as ive damaged 1 Oooooops that the only thing whats stoping me from finishing the build. so seeing as it bank holidy ill have to wait untill tuesday. the engin wont be back in the frame for some time yet as i need a wheel rebuilding. and the barrel needs a rebore and new piston. witch i will be doing in september. the barrel will be black the cylinder head is staying alloy. undesided what to do with the covers just going to try black covers on alloy bottom see how it looks. but thats a while of yet so ill keep you updated cheers bondy.
September 23, 201312 yr Very clean indeed, I wouldn't have blasted the inner sides of the cases, the bearing seats or the support of the cylinder head. But maybe I'am a little bit too cautious? Not a problem if its been "gently" vapour-blasted , as its too passive to effect mechanical tolerances , how do I know ? ... I have one plus ultrasonic cleaners for restoration work .
October 2, 201312 yr Bondy, the black covers look cool.....till you scratch them to death with your boots and stuff, where as the polished ones are easy to keep looking good.
