October 11, 201312 yr Hi all, after accidently coming across a Kingswood mcc trial near Bristol the other week I'm hooked! Its the first Trial that I have seen in over 25 years (being 36) and I was really impressed with the friendly relaxed atmosphere. After chatting to a few riders I came away with the idea of buying a bike and giving it a go. I have always ridden motorbikes since about 5 (Motocross,Grasstrack and on the road) but I have never even ridden a trials bike(still haven't) I got chatting to a friend of mine who said he knew of an old ty80 his friends mum had stored away that she wanted rid of. I have purchased the bike not for myself but for my nephews to ride. After researching the bike from the minimal info gathered on the internet it turns out I have got a Mk3 Whitehawk . It needs a couple of inner tubes and I have yet to give it the once over before starting it but its in what I would call really good considering its age. From the info I have collected these seem to be quite a rare model? Can anybody give me any info/pics or help with the authenticity of the bike please? I will post some pictures soon. Thanks, Steve
