I have just bought a ty250 mono it's been stood for about 8years where should I start after the spark plug it has got compression just not sure what to do next also what petrol to oil mix will it take?

suggest you fit a new air filter before it gets sucked into the carby and reeds. The filter will be quite crumbly by now

Clean the carb, clean the petcock and change the oil. Fuel at 50:1 and give her a test ride!
