January 4, 201412 yr Was out today on my 2012 cabastany an wen tryin to give it power it just wasn't takin the revs! It's burning the plug really black! Put in a new plug an 20 mins later same thing! A friend pointed me towards cdi unit!???? Any ideas welcome! Thanks!
January 4, 201412 yr It's possible. I had a faulty cdi unit on my 2013 bike, it would give symptoms of running hot and run very lumpy. Swapped it out with a mates 2012 unit and it ran perfectly. Rathmell's replaced under warranty. Do you have a friend with a sherco you can pinch the cdi from?
January 4, 201412 yr i confirm there was a faulty batch of cdi,s causing poor running and giving very hot symptoms, fault was intamittant mainly occurred when going was tough
