Rear Wheel Bearings

Featured Replies

i took my rear wheel off today to have a look at the bearings but to get at them there is a bush in front of them, how do i get the bush off, i haven't tried anything yet because i don't want to force anything.post-19186-0-96384600-1392835138_thumb.jpg

Hi there, the bush / spacer should pull out but normally a couple of flat blade screwdrivers to either side and it should lever out ! Done thus many times and once out make sure you clean them and apply a little grease before refitting.

Or use a drift/long rod and drift them out from the opposite side (put rod through centre of hub, catch lip of top hat spacer and drift out).
