July 14, 200521 yr I have just been offered a bsa b40 by a guy at work. Its not in bad nick, but is in road spec. Can anybody tell me what needs to be done to make it into a half descent pre-65 mount. Please bear in mind that I dont need a ultra trick comp winning bike, as it would never win anything with me on it anyway, just a descent clubman hack. Thanks Mark

July 16, 200521 yr check engine numbers first. if this b40 has GB stamped on the lh crank case along with the engine numbers its got a trials cluster fitted to army b40 models of the time. other wise you got a road box with a large gap twixt 1st &2nd. gb gears getting like hens teeth. good luck
