March 23, 201412 yr Had the flywheel cover off my 2013 bike And it looks like is hasn't been off very often By the previous owner and there a bit of rust In there, given it all a good spray with wd40 Is there any way of any crap getting in to the Motor from there? And us it worth taking off the Flywheel And giving it a proper clean ? Edited March 23, 201412 yr by jsp
March 23, 201412 yr I sealed mine for the same reason, I took mine off and cleaned all behind it. There is no danger of getting water in the engine from there but I figure rust is not good
March 23, 201412 yr If you take the flywheel off.Be sure to loctite (medium blue) the stator bolts.One of mine came loose and a peice of it was sheared off.The little chunk would occasionally get in the way of the ignition pickup and result in a no start mode.
