Hi, I've just acquired a 1979 Ty175 majesty and whilst I intend to trial it, the tank needs painting. So, I thought I might just as well try and use the correct white. Can anyone please tell me the paint code for the tank, same for the frame. Thanks

come on guys, someone must have re-sprayed their tank (& frame)....

i believe it's called yamaha competition yellow. And both the tank and frame should be that colour.

and now i've been told it's canary yellow. surely they are not the same colour....

Cant help you with any codes,but I was told its the same paint that BL used on Morris Marinas and Austin Allegro's,(Rustin Allaggro's) So maybe there is a code for BL paint somewhere ?

I'd be interested to know as I have a Majesty replica to paint at some stage....

hi mate I am doing a 78 250 majesty up the colour is bs309 canary yellow but not many powder coaters have this colour any more .I have gone for ral 1021 its a bit more yellow .bs 309 is a bit pale

thanks feetupfun. the one ive seen on ebay (#300852983996) does not have majesty written on the decal. Surely it should???

regarding painting the frame, is there a preference between plain paint and powder coating?
