199A Airbox

Featured Replies

Is this the correct way to mount the rubber intake boot to the airbox on a 199a? If so,does the flat side of the mounting plate face down,up or to one side? I want it the correct way before I start drilling holes in a new airbox.

Flat part faces down scot. First make sure the rubber boot is in the correct position on the carb before drilling

OK,thanks bondy. This is for my brothers bike and I did not want to screw up his new airbox. He has not been on a dirtbike in about 30 years and will be a first time trials rider.

Scot I would first drill the holes then mount the box and rubber boot mount the carb to get the boot in the correct position then make a mark throw each hole on the rubber then you can make holes throw rubber boot.hope this helps dont blame me if you mess it up ah
