Tr280I Rear Bushing Removal

Featured Replies

The rear wheel needs a new bearing. There is only a bushing and an oilseal on the other side.Anyone have this bushing out?

I took mine out not so long ago, quite a few people on here suggested tyre levers but mine wouldn't budge so i used, i think it was 16mm, raw bolt and taped it out from the other side, it came out a treat.

I don't have any good tips (a heat gun on the hub may help) but I understand there is an upgrade kit to change to a full bearing like the later bikes.

I think it is a bearing and spacer kit to replace the bushing, carrier centres should have one in stock. The only time I saw one removed involved heat and prying but drifting it out with a bolt sounds the easier option
