A little introduction....

Back in the 70s I rode timed enduro's and observed trials in the Midwest. I was good enough to have a Hodaka dealership sponsor. I did mostly riding very little wrenching, should have paid attention to the wrenching part. Got married moved to central AZ, off a bike for 32 years. Got the urge three years ago and purchased a XR400, great bike for my riding style. Mostly desert exploring in my backyard, 100 to 200 miles a day often alone.

A few weeks ago I had an accident (non bike) and really messed up my shoulder and bicep tendons. Decided that I no longer bounce well and should perhaps not venture so far from assistance. So the Trials bug bit once again. I'm on the computer shopping for ???. Always remember the TL125 occasionally "whooping-my-ass" at some competitions. Started looking... found several TL125 but most were rough. Even considered a trl200, but then I saw this little jewel not far from home...

1976 TL250 with the lighting option. Easily made street legal here in AZ. So now I'm waiting to get healthy again ...and start playing.

Hope to compete in some Dual Shock events with CAT, "Central Arizona Trials".

However I will have a few questions to ask here now and then.

Very nice. You'll love getting back into trials ... it's the fly-fishing, long-bow archery of the motor sports. If you ever venture north, look me up.

There is a whole crew on here from your neck of the woods (desert...) they;ll chime in soon .

HEAL first ! I broke a clavicle a few years ago , and at our age we don't mend to brand new condition ....

There are ITSA events around you too :)

Keep your feet up and have fun .

Hello,

just purchased a used 2009 Gas Gas Raga 280. I had a trials bike back in the early 70's it was a 250 Kawasaki.

I'm looking forward to getting into it again. I'm living on Vancouver Island British Columbia. Excellent place for off road riding.

Cheers

Greg

Thanks... Does this mean I have to sell my "Bass Boat"?

I have talked to Mike and his wife at Dirt Riders West (Hard Rock Trials)... There is a CAT event in Prescott on the 19th. I may venture up that way and mosey around some. Can't doooo much else.
