Busto To Honda

Featured Replies

Good succession planning from HRC.

I think most of us would be expecting Fuji to retire from WTC at the end of 2015.

Most of us would also see Busto as the guy most likely to follow Toni Bou to the top.

On the other hand... best funded team, most expensively developed bike, best riders under contract, smaller competitors in financial difficulty. It's all getting a bit Premier league isn't it!

Not Sure, Most riders have found the 4RT difficult to get consistent results on. Bou obviously being the exception. Honda may have to crack a few eggs to make another omelette thats as good!

So most of us don't think Casales is better?

As of today, I think Casales is better. As a mid to long term prospect, I think Busto shows more potential

....but then again 10/12 years ago, I rather fancied that Jeroni Fajardo would turn out to be better than that upstart Toni Bou kid, so what do I know!

Montesa are sponsoring the event so get to pick the wild card rider ..... so .......they picked they're own. Its a recent press release but Busto has had this Mont for some time now so its not that new to him.

I expect Fuji will take a managerial position in the team.

If Casales didn't perform well on the bike it would be the bikes fault, if Busto takes time to come to grips it doesn't reflect badly on Honda.

and so they should, be interesting to see what bike he rides, that will maybe show how serious they takehim/whether fujis finished?

Trueba is not a happy man is he! It's a double edged sword. If he rides the 4RT well he is made for life. He doesn't and he'll find it difficult to get another ride.

It's a tricky one, I can see both sides.

Trueba have invested in Busto & could have rightfully expected some loyalty in return.

For Busto, with the state of world trials, his best chance of earning a decent living is with HRC.
