Any Here That Knows Which Year This Montesa Cota 50 Is?

Featured Replies

I am not sure if this little bike qualifies as a classic but it looks like a late 1970`s or early 1980`s bike to me

I know of a cheap old Montese Cota 50 for sale but the seller does not know which year this ol bike is made.

The bike starts and drives

The bike is missing the rear fender and a side cover on the engine from what i can tell from looking at the pictures

Any fellow member here that knows which year this bike was made?

Is it original with disc brakes up front and  a mono rear shock instad of 2 rear shocks? One shock absorber on each side of the bike?

Also is this anything to buy? Is the bike original because the pictures i saw when i did a search on the net showd several bikes with 2 rear shock absorbers.

Remeber that the price for this bike is just pocket money

I don't think it's a montesa, certainly not like any I have ever seen. The engine looks more garelli-ish to me. Any other identifying marks? Maybe a clipic?

If it is only pocket change buy it anyway
