2015 Factory 300 Jetting?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I was wondering what others with the same bike have done jetting wise to clean up the power delivery?

I ride between 500ft - 5000, probably mostly around 2500ft. But I'll tune as needed just want to know if there is a hot setup I should know about before starting the annoying procedure of airbox removal.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but can I ask where you had the insert from? Also did it make much of a difference?

Im sorry ...i get the most irrelevant post of the year award . I thought this was the JTG forum :chairfall: . sorryyyyyyyy

Standard Kiehin sea level jetting is 45/125 range. I would not normally expect changes needed below 3000 ft. other than airscrew adjustment. Ck to see what you have in there first!

At higher altitudes, things can get a bit different, so a change to say a 48/50 pilot may be a good tradeoff for you, yet a lot of this may vary bike to bike even, and with that wide range of altitude you may have to find the balance.

I thought you'd run leaner jetting if you ride higher.. Your suggesting richer jetting at altitude which doesn't seem normal to me.

Seems bass akwards but it all has to do with decreased air density and the ability to suck in fuel.
