not quite under standing what u mean I've tried grounding the coil too the frame and nothing i unhooked the kill switch thinking that was the problem

1. tried 3 coils and nothing

2. new plug

3. new coil

4 i tool magnets out to the magneto and they looked good they were not broken also looked at the condenser look fine

could my condenser not be putting enough power to spark the plug off the coil and would it just show that i have power from the magneto but not enough to ignite the plug

thanks

were do i find the condenser and the copper coils i can find just the condenser but the copper coils have to be wired in looked on eBay but all i found was the  condenser. 1974 Yamaha Ty80

Yea you have to solder them in place. You can use eBay or one of those old school love free or die New Hampshire bike places. Not the big chain joints. Bike bandit I believe has em too.
