Ty80 Upgrade Exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi,

Currently working on my TY80 and looking to replace the exhaust system as it's completely knackered. I'm trying to find out if there is an upgraded system that could possibly be fitted? Like the WES systems that can be had for the TY175 etc

Nothing that I've found

Surely a competent welder/fabricator could bring it back to life?

Might not be the best looking but will be functional

Cheers

John

Cant say I have ever seen a different exhaust on an 80. One thing I would say is that a healthy TY80 makes more than enough power as standard, the one my kids had was very lively.

Anything on Ebay ?

My son still has his whitehawk 80 (std ty 80 engine) and although now on a whitehawk 175 can flick the little one about - loads of grunt, great engines

Ive seen a few exhausts on ebay, come up quite regular

cheers

John

Thanks for the replies, Yeah i've looked everywhere on the net including Ebay and the like, and struggled to find anything other than used ones in not the best condition for crazy money. At the moment theres not much being kept on the bike other than the frame and engine. I'm more inclined to replace with newer upgraded parts than keep it all original. This trick 175 being the inspiration http://supacustom.com/gallery/yamaha-ty175/
