Hi there im rebuilding a Matchless G250 for trials riding

it had a 28mm monoblock carb on as standard road trim

what size should i buy a new concentric carb for trialing

Do you mean the G2  250, the semi unit engine ? Not that it helps me cos I still dont know the answer ! but talk to Surrey Cycles, they are very helpful with Amal carbs.

it should be a good bike when its finished ,ive never seen one in a pre 65 trial

Sounds like a good project. Don't know if it's any help, but the heavyweight 350s work with a 26mm carb.

You might have fun getting the gearing down...
