November 9, 201510 yr I have a 15 Sherco ST 290. Bike is performing well. I am soliciting your opinion as a trials rider. Do you have a little slack in your throttle? Or no slack at all. Bike was set up with a little travel in the throttle. I know it's a personal preference but I want your opinion.
November 9, 201510 yr You have to check the throttle at all front wheel positions. Full lock left, full lock right, ect.
November 9, 201510 yr Just to reiterate what was said above. The recommendation is that you have the minimum amount of slack possible but not so little that when the bikes handlebars are turned at full lock the idle rises. Edited November 9, 201510 yr by jml
November 9, 201510 yr I always take the cap of the trottle and check if there is a small bend in the cable when turned to left and right. Not too much, but you want some free play.
