2016 Sherco 300 Mixture

Featured Replies

Hi, I've just bought a 2016 300cc and I was wondering what the mixture screw turns should be so its set right for me  its a kelhin flat slide carb on it

The Kiehin is a fairly sensitive carb, thus there is no "perfect " setting as it will vary on the day based upon temps, baro and such.

Normal range between 1/2 and 1.5 turns out. Set for best idle and response off idle. Colder days require less air(screw "in")due to higher air density for a given jet size.

About 1/8 turn on the screw can make a difference.

A good ear helps!

The 2016 probably needs to be re jetted from the factory settings for uk unleaded, id try 128 main 44 pilot and 3 slide. From memory.

Thanks to all your comments guys, I am blaming myself Scott lol

Hi i was just wonder what is you opinion on the new sherco and what is the 300 like ive tried to 250. I am worried about getting 250 as i think it wouldnt be powerful enought as a 300 would be easy to get up very steep mounds. I ride a 2011 290 sherco and i think the power is great many thanks
