January 4, 201610 yr Just starting to rebuild my dads old 191, he got it in 78 nearly new. The frame is red but all the pics I have seen have a silver frame, what color should it be and what is the colour code? Also looking for a manual?
January 4, 201610 yr Frame was silver - Ford Silver Fox is a very good match (1960/70s colour) You can get Haynes or Clymer manuals (always on ebay) or In Motion sell a manual that covers all 5 speed models
January 5, 201610 yr I used silver car wheel spray paint (should be a bit stronger than regular spray paint) and haven't had complaints about the colour

Sounds about right. 191 was an interim model based on the 183 before the new for late 1977 199 was released on sale. I had a 199 in September 1977, best bike I ever had. I'm rebuilding a 183 this year to catalogue specification, I have plenty of other ones to use! Big John
