June 21, 201610 yr I see Cubs with both the usual longish front pipe and silencer between frame tube and shock, or a short pipe with the silencer more over the gearbox area finishing near the rear tyre. Has anyone tried both options does it make any performance difference which is used?
June 21, 201610 yr no and as one is 200 quid cheaper then go for the pipe over the gearbox with a vw bug silencer on the end.. nice simple cheap effective.
August 11, 201610 yr Is this just the old VW Beetle tail pipe? Thought they were just straight pipe? Stand to be corrected, and as I have split the silencer on my Cub (one too many trips to terra firma) I am looking at replacements... Mark
August 11, 201610 yr I have both. The middle box type that I have makes the motor feel "smoother" regarding throttle response but whether the difference is worth the cost is open to question as always.
