Jack Price Champ?

Featured Replies

We were actually just talking about it and apparently it's a "class" not a "championship" so the term "world champion" would be incorrect, though we're in agreement nobody is going to deny the lad his moment. Same with Jack Peace.

Agreed. Everyone is saying Jack Peace 125 World Champion and technically he is, but not officially by FIM rules. It's stupid, IMO. They work hard and spend loads to do these events. The achievement should be correctly reflected.

Wait, what? Is this the FIM equivalent of no-stop in according championship honors? How the hell is the 125 champion not the 125 world champion???

The entire point of having a multi-class championship is to award honors in those classes. Ask Valentino how many world championships he's won and he'll be damn sure to remind you it's 9, which includes one in 125 and one in 250.

So the 125cc class, which was such a good idea till the Spanish on behalf of Pol Tarres managed to bend the rules, on its ars$ with entries yet it isnt a world championship any more?

That'll help then. FFS.
