I'm completely new to trial and not experienced with the engines. I was riding a 2007 model 125 Sherco trial where the wter temperature sensor blew out. I replaced the temperature sensor with a one that was lying in the workshop at the club (a screw in type instead of clip in).

 

On removing the tank the bike was a total mess so I removed and cleaned the carb.

 

Now I put everything back together and the bike is running but the kill switch doesn't stop the bike. I checked the switch for continuity and all OK but I'm not sure I re-connected the CDI correctly.

 

Can anyone post a diagram of the electronics or take a photo from thier 2007 Sherco? Any ideas what may be wrong?

    Switch has two wires. One connects to frame earth, other connect to CDI, black wire as I recall?

    Black spade connector plugs into CDI unit, other wire connects to frame for earthing
