07 125 upgrades, setup ideas ?

Featured Replies

my son is 15 and has had his 07 sherco for many years

the bike is in excellent condition so would like to keep it

Are there any obvious upgrades that would improve the bike ?

more power ? (without a bigger bore)

gearing ?

suspension ?

any thing ?

thanks

Personally, I would not do much to it. Althiugh they were and are a good bike, it is ten years on now and pricy stuff like Ohlins shocks may add up to as much as a new bike!

You will not really get a lot more power out of it, yet you may sacrifice some torque for top end if not careful.

lucky for us there seems there is no obvious issues with these wee bikes or any one thing that would massively improve them that makes economic sense

I might try a set of Boyesen carbon reeds, if their claim is right it gives it a bit more low down power

new tyres and more practice seem to be the best bet though

thanks for the replies
