The Westmorland Motor Club are proud to be involved in the creation of the Nostalgia Bultaco Revival trial on 17th June, with Guest of Honour Yrjo Vesterinen.

When Alan Lampkin heard he checked his own Bultaco, dormant in the shed for three decades, and with a gurgle of fresh fuel it fired up after just a few kicks - but all the bearings were dry and it had a naughty rattle, a mention to Peter Remington and out came the magic spanners and the bike was soon much more like her old self and ready to ride.

That set the Lampkin family thinking so James will be riding the bike under a Lampkin banner, which anybody can join by calling 07761 073368 to donate 100% to Cancer Care Research in memory of sadly missed Martin. A worth while venture in remembrance of a fine sportsman - you don’t need to ride to donate! 

I have added images of that fine sportsman, sadly missed, Martin Lampkin as well as the Guest of Honour, Yrjo Vesterinen, each riding their Bultacos.

What is the postcode for the trial ?

 

Deryk the bike Martin is riding in the picture you have posted  is a Montesa not a Bultaco as you state.

A picture of Mart on the Bulto would have been in keeping with the occasion.

Look in the calendar for the trial details entries are coming in fast so fingers out boys/oldies.

Oops, sorry for such a stupid goof, now replaced with Martin after the Timperley Cup in 1971 at Wycoller, will add better one shortly

Good stuff, and a feet-up one too, the way everybody remembers him.
