I just got my new 04 Sherco 290 and it feels like the clutch pulls harder than on the 03. Does anyone else have this problem or am I just getting weaker. I tried putting on last years shorty black levers and it still feels different. What did they change ?

Mine feels the same or slightly lighter, same for Munch's bikes as well, strange. Get the dealer to check it out and try others.

My 04' has a noticable harder pull then my 03'

I tryed another and it was the same. I take it to be not broken in yet ( spring and oil) and the different levers.

Seems to be Quiker acting too.

Maybe 2 hours on the 04' and couple hundred on the 03'

Yeah, after a few rides it is getting a bit easier. I tried the black levers and the engagement is a bit mushier. I like the quicker silver levers, but the pull with the black ones is a tad easier. I am staying stock..

So, it looks like it will get better over time and I will get stronger.

Even as it is, it is still lighter than any other brand bike I have tried, great clutch Sherco !!
