October 2, 20178 yr Trying to sort my lads bike the spark plug is very sooty after a good day on the bike. Carb cleaned air screw seems best at 1.5 turns out ( have tried 3/4 still sooty). Can anyone give me any ideas jets needle etc
October 3, 20178 yr Don't judge by plug color after puttering around on a trials bike. Just give it a good hard run and some high revs on occasion in order to keep things blown out. If it runs good it is good.

October 5, 20178 yr 18 hours ago, oni nou said: Try a smaller size of main jet......they do not cost much.... drop down 1 or possibly 2 sizes and see what the plug colour/condition is looking like after the bike has been run under load [highish gear 3/4 throttle up an incline etc do not do this ! the 2016 125 is already weak on the main jet, sherco team bikes are running a larger main than standard. they are rich on the needle, they need to be used hard to keep them clear you could drop the needle half a notch with a needle spacer/washer I think splat shop sells them
