February 4, 20188 yr Hi there.couple of my pals just bought 2018 beta 300 4t and we are all having problems under load the bikes are misfiring can anyone help???as these are brand new bikes to.many thanks any help would be great
February 4, 20188 yr Author Hi again.we have moved from 2017 repsol Honda s to new 2018 300cc 4t beta and are now thinking it was a bad move lol.has anyone else tried both bikes and if so what are pro s and cons on the 2 machines?many thanks

February 4, 20188 yr Is the carb tight in its rubber sleeves? Too much oil of filter. Mixture screw correct. Standard silencer or aftermarket?
February 4, 20188 yr Author All sealed.everthink tight.airfilter brand new oiled.all bikes filled up same pump and only beta s had problems.2 of the bikes had standard exhausts and one with ti arrowe pipe
February 4, 20188 yr As Timp mentioned mixture screw, I believe bike supplied to dealer are adjusted to homologation/euro 4 ? settings ,pdi dealer should re adj to the competition one
February 5, 20188 yr Don`t say where you are, but in our club the Beta runs better than the Montesa. There is a rev limiter on the bike. So if you are reving a new bike to the moon in neutral then it is you. They do come lean. Must be jetted and fitted with Jitsie thumb screw. My boys bike runs way better than the new Monts. By the way my employer has 11 4rt`s, all years and it drives him nuts we ride Beta`s. And yes, we ride new Cota`s every week.
February 5, 20188 yr I found the stock main jet size was way too small (stock is a 120), ended up running a 130, also noticed that the clip on the needle makes a huge difference. Mine get's a lot more low end grunt running the clip on it's 2nd lowest position. It's a 2016 300 4T Factory edition with the ti pipe.
February 5, 20188 yr Apart from being the same model there is one other thing in common - the petrol. Try using different petrol just in case, but as stated, you really should be going back to the dealer before taking anything apart.
