Sherco 290 shock

Featured Replies

Need some help again,

Noticed my shock on the 2006 is leaking,  when taking the exhaust off at the wknd i noticed a puddle of oil around the shock. Ive been trawling threads here and appears that my best bet will be to replace the whole unit.

I've found a nice looking ohlins unit on ebay but it' for a 2016-2018 sherco.

Anyone know if this will fit? I have asked the sell but hes not got back to me.

Also, if anyone can give guidance on what other models fit, to help my second hand search that would be great. Unfortunately I really can't justify a new 400£ unit.

Cheers

would be nice to find an R16-V off an 08-09 model, but you might contact Splatshop to see what it would take to make the  ebay unit fit.

If you can find a TRP grab it, I fitted a new 1 years ago & it's so much better than what was fitted standard as would be an Ohlins

If I remember correctly...the only difference between the newer model shock is the..upper eye width is slightly wider.  I have an Ohlins on one bike and a TRP on the other, both excellent shocks.
