Cub valve springs

Featured Replies

Does the Triumph Tiger Cub have different valve springs for the standard cam and R cam, if so how do you identify which springs are for which cam. Same for the cam followers or are they the same for both types.

I have used both R and standard cams using the same springs  as long as they are in good order and within  spec There is an minimum wear length

Same cam followers for both standard and high lift cams as far as I'm aware.

Stronger after market valve springs are available from a number of sources to stop valve bounce at higher revs if you are concerned.

I have used them in my 230cc Cub engine that uses an R cam.

Hope this helps.
