October 17, 20187 yr Hi folks, I just picked up a Rickman Zundapp. I would like to know if anyone can recommend a web site where I can ID the model and year from the numbers on the neck tube. Thanks
October 17, 20187 yr The Zundapp Trials bikes have recently been a subject of many posts in the previous weeks. There is also a Rickman mentioned, it like yours is more of an enduro come scrambles machine, unless it’s very special and been converted to trials. You now own a very rare bike....please post photos?Have a look at Classic Trials section and specifically Zundapp Trials. Edited October 17, 20187 yr by section swept
October 17, 20187 yr Author Thank you, My Rickman Zundapp is the motocross version. That's why I posted my question here. But I did go over to the Classic Trials section to see what was there. Wow, great information! I posted my question regarding model ID there as well. Thanks again

October 18, 20187 yr The Rickman Enduro ISDE version was mine - a great little bike. If yours is the MX version I guess it will be one of these : https://motocrossactionmag.com/classic-motocross-iron-1971-rickman-zundapp-125-metisse/
October 18, 20187 yr Author Thanks majesty. Mine has the high pipe, so might be the enduro version. I was hoping I could find out that information from the numbers on the headstock/neck tube plate.
October 18, 20187 yr I think if it has the upswept pipe it will have originated as the enduro version. Mine didn't smoke this much Sorry I can't help you with dating/identifying the bike from the frame number, but maybe somebody else can help
November 27, 20187 yr Gordo, were you able to get the info you needed about the Rickman? If not, there is a dedicated crew on ADVRider that post in the Forum Section “Olds Cool” in the topic “All things Rickman”. A couple of the guys have the Rickman books, and in them, there are pages listing frame numbers and build quantities. Jaglite, one of the guys there helped me identify my Rickman Yamaha. All the best with it.
December 3, 20187 yr Author Great! Thank you pmk. I will check that out today! To answer your question, no I have not found any answers to what I have. Thanks again.
December 3, 20187 yr Gordo, Check this link out for an Enduro version for sale on EBay some time ago. One of the photos shows the numbering sequence on the headstock and might help to identify your bike. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1972-Rickman-Zundapp-125-ISDT-Enduro-/132355792244?ul_noapp=true&ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F0%2F0%2F0%3Fmpre%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%252Fulk%252Fitm%252F132355792244%26rvr_id%3D0&nma=true&si=gIkLm5kr%2BthAkYHpV7kmIVx7Ifo%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
