Baffleless TY

Too cold to do much today so painted the muffler. Zipped around yard with it out a couple of times. More noise - no extra power.

Who cut that off?

Same butcher that put the "knobbies" on it.

We've had a fair amount of rain this week and the knobbies have being doing a number on the grass.

Hoping the leaves fall soon so my wife doesn't notice the chunks missing from the lawn!

The one who cut the spark arrestor is probably the culprit that relocate the shock

The bike should perform.better with an end muffler and would be quiter too.

I recommemd the aluminium WES replacement muffler these are lighter, makes the bike even less noisy and are repack able.

Could you tell that to my TY, please?  Because with the WES it's far, far, louder

My WES end mufflers on TYs are quieter than stock too

Are the 250 silencers the same as the 175 ones? If so I have one somewhere

The body of the silencer is the same (250 vs 175) but the inlet pipes are different length and shape

What gear are you in? If first, try 2nd or 3rd.

Those are pitiful wheelies for a ty250. If i'm daft my mono will flip me on my a*** in 2nd or 3rd at a walking pace.

Also check your gearing - something is amiss.

Thanks thai-ty. I don't fully blame the bike for the lousy wheelies - but I should be able to flip one of these over backwards - and I can't!

Scifi also suggested to try a lower gear. If it ever stops raining I will try it this weekend!

You mean a higher gear.

ie 2nd instead of 1st, or 3rd instead of 2nd.
