April 23, 20197 yr Hi all. Thinking about getting the frame powder coated. A couple of questions before I do. Firstly colour? Stick with the blue or go white? There is a frame lock stop missing, so do I chop the other one off or weld on the missing one? Footrests, do I weld on new brackets, for modern footrests, or will modern types fit on existing brackets? Any thoughts on this very welcome, cheers.
April 23, 20197 yr New steering stop, otherwise you'll be denting and scraping your newly painted tank Blue or White, it's all down to originality or not. Me, I would go blue. It's your bike and it's up to you entirely. Footrests, get new brackets welded on ,as the existing one's won't accommodate modern footrests. April 24, 20197 yr A friend dropped his bike with a missing steering stop. He damaged the outside of the tank where the tripple clamp hit it but worse still he holed the inside of the tank where it was forced onto the coil.
