August 10, 20197 yr Good morning, everyone, The original petcock on my TL 250 was gummed up and blocked. So I ordered two aftermarket petcocks on eBay. One was a useless thing, The other was exactly like the OEM petcock (indeed, it was advertised as such), but there was a critical difference. The flange on the mounting side of the OEM petcock is 2cm. The flange on the new one is only 1CM, and therefore will not clear the standing seam on the bottom outer edge of the tank. Has anyone else had to deal with this problem? Any suggestions on where I might get a good petcock would be gratefully received. SD

August 12, 20197 yr I've made aluminium sandwich plates or blocks in the past, for fitting different fuel petcocks to different tank dimensions. If you get stuck, pretty easy to fabricate a 10mm spacer if you know someone with a mill.
August 12, 20197 yr Author I've ordered the one recommended by lineaway. Thank you for your suggestion, though. SD Edited August 12, 20197 yr by Sean Dell
