Hi everyone I'm new to this forum,so I purchased a sherco 2005 290 3 years ago and over the 3 years have been trying to get to the bottom of the running problem which is its starts when cold and runs fine and sounds great until it warms up and sounds like its running out of fuel and idles uneven ,action taken so far.

1. replaced piston and rings and had bore checked all good. £160

2. replaced main seal on flywheel side £20

3. purchased new carb £130

4. purchased new cdi unit £250

5 Had stator coils checked and had a pick up problem rectified £155

5.replaced ait filter and spark plug. 

im really at the end of the road but can't give up as I really would like my old dad to see me on it again.

You didn't mention checking for:

Fuel tank venting issue

Fuel tap filter flow restricted

Fuel hose kink

Fuel hose filter restricted

Fan not running

Fan running too slowly

Radiator airflow restricted

Leaking connector carby to cylinder

Air screw/idle fuel screw set incorrectly

Exhaust flow restricted

Is it the Sherco model with the fuel lift pump?
