March 3, 200620 yr I have designed a plastic cover for TY tanks that will cover the old plastic one and make it look like new. The whole thing is simple to use and will offer protection to the tank in a fall as well. The unit itself is in three pieces and assembled around the tank. March 7, 200620 yr Author I did try to add a pic but it wouldnt load for some reason. I have made two versions both a three piece kit to put together around the tank. The differance is amazing. The guy I originally made it for paid a dealer to rebuild the bike and they had about four attempts to get it right and as soon as the first tank of fuel had the paint off in a week. He now has the red version I made on the tank and thinks it looks great. It was his idea to try to market the idea. I'll try to get a picture on again.
