October 5, 2025Oct 5 Hi folks. my daughters oset 20 lite has started switching off when you open the throttle. If you switch the kill switch off then back on again the power comes back on until you try and open the throttle again. If the rear wheel is off the floor it will spin the rear wheel as soon as you put the rear wheel down it will cut out Edited October 5, 2025Oct 5 by creaser Missed something out.
October 7, 2025Oct 7 How old is the battery? How many charge cycles? Conduct your experiment again while measuring voltage across the battery. If the battery voltage drops precipitously just as the wheel touches the ground, the battery is probably bad. You will have to be quick to observe the drop because the controller will be likely to cut the power due to an "under voltage" condition (and the battery voltage will bounce back immediately).
