April 17, 200620 yr Whilst riding today, someone noticed I had no cap on the left side of the swing arm and it was showing the nut. He noticed the nut was loose so we tried to tighten the bolt with a ratchet but the threads on the swing arm pin and nut where knackered. Does anyone know the price and where I can get the pin and nut A.s.a.p Cheers BB Edited April 17, 200620 yr by beta_basher
April 17, 200620 yr I would try Alan Smith at Guisborough, but in all honesty I would think he would need to order the parts from Rathmell's the importers. Not the parts most dealers would carry.
April 17, 200620 yr Author Right its not the pin but the threads on the bolt are knackerd. Will any nut do or do i needa special one.
April 18, 200620 yr Nigel D - are you thinking gg or Sherco prices? Swingarm axle Part No. C154, along with the nut M310 (M14), shouldn't cost more than 20 for the pair ..it's the plastic plugs that are expensive! Dont use too much torque (37ft lbs) as the steel nut will pull the threads off the alumium swingarm axle with ease. Remember to use lots of grease/antiseize, and align the hole before you push the new one through, or else you risk damaging the new threads.
April 19, 200620 yr Arron if the thread inside has threaded not the nut then its going to need helicoiling like what i had done to my cylinder head ...if its the nut then i would say youd be fine.
