Hi All

I have just fitted 3 new surflex clutch plates to my cub, with all adjustments correct the final plate fitted is only flush with the housing edge with lever out. With lever pulled in the plate's drive tangs disengage from the housing and the plate slips down.

Any help appreciated.

    had EXACTLY this problem with mine a fortnight ago eneded up having to put one of the worn plates back in so that the end plate didnt keep falling out, still not got the damned thing working right..

    You have to skim the Surflex friction plates down in a lathe to reduce their thickness, or get Martyn Adams or Alan Whitton to do it for you....
