Try and tighten up the cable on the adjusting screw located next to the lever on the handlebars. You may find that as you ride the bike and it gets warm you need to loosen it off to reduce your clutch slipping. This may fix it in the short term but you may need to try changing the oil and possibly having a look at the clutch plates if that doesn't work.

I had the exact same problem and changing the oil did the trick for me :D

Hi,

Does it happend only at the first start (cold) ? If so it is usal for the TYs.

Regards

I am pretty sure that's what he means.. Mine was the same way at a cold start, but now it doesn't do it after clean oil (or at least, not yet hehe)

If it only does it on start up dont worry as most do it at one time or another. Try using a good quality light gear oil, Im pressuming youve tried to adjust it as per the manual. If that doesnt work have a look at the clutch basket, the plates wear grooves in the basket where the tags on the plates touch the finger on the basket. This causes drag when trying to release the clutch. This can be cured by gently filing the grooves so the fingers on the basket are smooth again
