Hi all,

I’ve got a second hand Sherco 290 05. I’m usually still stuck in the past with twin shocks or air cooled. So I was quite pleased when I got one of these new fangled springy bikes January last. Except that I couldn’t get it to bounce. I naturally blamed myself and my gut. Until I read a post about someone putting and Öhlins in theirs (the Sherco not their gut).

Anyway I tightened the spring up on the Olle and have been hopping about all weekend. The spring seems worn or I’m a fat b*****d.

I’m not going to sell the bike anytime soon. Are there stiffer after-market springs? I weigh about 14.5 stone.

Or does anyone know of a good replacement shock for this bike?
