My TLR 200 just started developing a tickover fault recently, after it was revved whilst stood still it would tick over okay then after about 30 secs would reduce the speed of the tick over although it ran perfectly in sections. After searching this forum i found that a new needle and jet would cure this so i installed the parts (numbers are 16012-KJ2-004) which were mentioned. Now the bike wont run at all it starts up but either cuts out when the throttle is opened or runs very rough. The whole carb is clean, float height is right and needle clip is second notch from top as stated in manual. sorry if this is a simple question but has anyone any ideas whats wrong could something else be causing the problem.
It ran great the last time out (new years day).
P.S last time out it was running on super unleaded would this have done anything

Gday, have a look at the spark plug and see what colour it is around the tip. This might give a clue as to what's going on.

Cheers,

Stork.
