correct , tach and power use the same type connector though on the dash........
Problem is :
1. the power connector coming from the bike reads 14 volt on a voltagemeter so is ok, when connected the dash light should be 10 time brighter.... it doesn't... might be problem with the dash
2. engine temp is not being displayed on the dash.
There's only one brown wire connected to the dash connector presumably coming from the bike's CDI and tempsensor. Measured over earth sensor voltage drops when engine heats up.
Fan is working properly when engine heats , so sensor is ok...
So either :
- Power connector on the dash is f'd. hence the display not lightening up.
- engine temp needs power to be displayed and therefore doesn display.
- i'm missing something...
Can anyone confirm : engine temp shows up on display even if (hot) bike isn't running (so running on internal dash batt...)
