In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee, inspected the elephants foot, and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several t…

I am sure I bring this up every year at this time. Andy originally posted this a few years back and it is well worth looking at! Google the artist, Terry Kelly and his song called, A pittance of Time. If you can, check out his website, which also gives a true account of why Terry wrote this song in honor of our veterans. Then listen to the song and watch the video on Youtube. Lest we forget!

A quote from the Perth Club website :- "Trials: Meetings were originally held on part on, part off road and covered vast areas including Killin, Kenmore, Aberfeldy, Glen Lyon, Crieff, Methven, Bridge of Earn - in effect all of Perthshire, and a bit more." How about a twin shock 2-day based on the above. I would love such an event if it was at all possible ! Ross

A couple go for a meal at a Chinese restaurant and order the "Chicken Surprise." The waiter brings the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as the wife is about to serve herself, the lid of the pot rises slightly and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down. "GOOD GRIEF, DID YOU SEE THAT?" she asks her husband. He hasn't, so she asks him to look in the pot. He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees the same two beady little eyes before it slams down. Rather perturbed, he calls the waiter over, explains what is happening and demands an explanation. "Please sir," says the waiter, "what you order?" The h…
