As a lot of the topics posted, particularly in the bike specific forums, are questions, a new feature has been enabled. This allows a topic starter to select what they think is the "Best Answer" to their question. This is very straightforward. At the bottom right of each reply, the topic starter ONLY will see the below: Simply click to select the reply you deem to be the best answer. Once a best answer is selected, the button text will change to "Unmark Best Answer" which can, obviously, be used to de-select a reply. Alternately, if there is an answer later that you think is even better than the one you've already chosen, then simply selecting that answer will automati…

Two of my lads turned up for the Brian Barnsley Memorial trial run by the Hamilton Motorcycle Club at Te Kauwhata last Sunday. They paid their fees, hired a 1965 Bultaco and had a terrific time in a super friendly atmosphere. They say that it sounded as though half of Yorkshire was there, judging from the accents. They send their thanks to all the guys they met. Here are a couple of their photos.

The blue rebound adjustment knob on top of the right fork will not turn. Do these freeze up if they are not turned or lubed for some time? Could it just be jammed because someone turned it too tight? Any suggestions? Also, there's a small slot head screw in the bolt at the bottom of the fork. This is the bolt that holds the tube and damper assemble in. What's the purpose of this screw?.

Try this one out with your friends.... find your favorite "Big Rock" and one at a time you and your friend(s) ride up it. Then each of you take it in turns to get closer and closer to the rock and attempt it from a standing start (balanced). Keep getting closer and closer (until you are very close and moving in inches!) until one of you either crashes or chickens out. allowing 3 attempts makes things a bit easier! I like to call it "trials chicken", give it a go, as daft as it sounds it builds up confidence and its good training. All the best Tom

Does anyone know where to get a point checker. They use them for telling you when the points open and close. The old manuals show them being used. So they must have some around. Or does someone know how to make one. I have used a battery and light, but would like something better

I've already read several posts about this problem but hav not come across the definitive answer. Some people have had the same occur on Sherco's also. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi Folks, Well the story goes like this, up at 7am have some porridge (need the strength) load the 2 bikes. Drive 15 minutes and meet my pal. Take the 2 bikes out, 1999 TXT270 and 2002 TXT280. Jump on my old 270 starts first kick!! Turn around and look at my pal who normally takes 3-4 kicks to start the 280 and he's bent over the bike. What's wrong now?? Seems that whe…
