Good day all! New to the page and new to trials. I have kept up with it and watched, along with many forms of two wheeled racing, since I was about 10, as I am a total motorcycle enthusiasts! However I know nothing about bike selection, settings, what to look for, certain techniques, etc. So, I'm looking for some helpful direction. Some of my background: 32, 210lb, 6'3", have ridden offroad (US gncc/enduro) and motocross for 23 years. I have owned and ridden 250 and 300cc two strokes, as well as 450s and now a 350cc four stroke. I am by no means a pro or A level, but I am confident and competent enough to handle all obstacles (in my way 🎵) locally and get my money b…

Use caution when ordering from B&J Racing, he will not follow through on your order. Been waiting for months for a TYY250 skid plate, he never did anything to deliver the order. Just needed the spacers welded on. Every time I called there was another reason why he couldn't do it, from storms outside to just plane saying he didn't want to do it and maybe he would just retire instead. He is happy to take your credit card number though. At this point he should just close down the website and let people know he simply does not wait to be in business anymore, and not mislead people into relying on him for parts.

Got out for my second Trials ride ever on my 2004 GG300 Pro today. Even after fitting a "Slow" throttle I wasn't able to relax. I tried a 2006 GG200 in the parking lot, and imediately felt comfortable. Considering how much better I felt I'm thinking of getting it, but I don't know if it'll haul my fat A**. Thoughts?

What do you want to know?? Say we have 10 sections, and only 9 observers. Two riders volunteer (or get picked!) to share the same section. One will observe section 10 for the morning, then after the lunch break will 'don the vest (usually one for a pair of riders) and go like a bat out of hell to ride all the sections! The vest allows you to double up when riding the sections, and you can get to the front of every section queue no matter how long it is! There are drawbacks: The lack of consistencey of the observing of that particualar section; The rider who observes in the morning quite possibly gets the worst of the sections after they've all been cut up - while the ch…

On Futher inspection I saw the thermostat module/rectifier/ regulator (saw it called a few things had basically melted . Are there any specific causes for this or should I just start replacing parts. Thanks in advance just looking for some knowledge.

Hi - I often seem to answer questions - thought it may be time to pose one? I am sure I have seen a post on TC about paint for plastic, I mean mudguards etc on a modern bike I have also seen some pictures of a few special bikes which have been customised with various colour schemes - but I just cannot find the info now I mean a paint that will stick on and stay on , and I ahve seen a few products advertised, but they all seem to be based in USA. I also recall that a plasticiser needs to be added to paint such as acrylic, but again I have no details. If anyone has had reasonable sucess, perhapos they can offer up some info

hi all just wondering if other centres struggle with getting observers like down here in the south-west and have clubs got any incentives to get people to observe eg: free entries for riders who supply an observer, free meal vouchers etc etc.

Hey guys considering a new fork tube. I have a 2014 GG 300 Raga with the Gold forks. Question is--Does the replacement tube have to be Gold or are the colors merely cosmetic? I see they come in Olive, Titanium etc. Wasn't sure if a different color meant any more than...a different color.

My son's handlebars broke Sunday while riding very difficult sections. We were hammering expert lines at the site of our club trial last month. We were halfway through our "second loop", and I had ridden through the trap first. After passing through the end gate, I glanced back to watch Ian come through. but he waved me back to the start gates. When I got around to where he was, he was holding the whole right side of his Renthals, connected to the motorcycle by only the throttle cable and brake line! Luckily, he was doing some small front wheel hops while waiting for me to ride through. If the bars had broken anywhere else, especially in the sections, the results would h…

what Do people find is the optimal suspension setup? More rebound means easier to hop/ jump zap up stuff I guess? But more dampening would be better for overall grip? How do people like factory kev set them up? I know it’s a seriously hard question without actually physically showing me but any opinions would be good because I have zilch experience setting up suspension Thanks!

In trying to remove the header pipe the metal flange that goes over the two studs will not come off. It looks like one of the studs is bent outward and even though the flange is loose it can only move out over the studs about 3/16 inch. Any ideas on how this got bent, and how I can straghten it. It's going to be hard to get to with the pipe in place.
