Hi guys, im after any advise on where to source some front forks for my cub. i am aware that bultaco or ossa forks may fit or im led to believe! and advise on whether i need to remove the top seat mounting on my frame ( as it was originally a road bike) any other technical advise that may help my build.

Just thought I'd jump in from the ladies forum to introduce myself - complete and absolute beginner, been trying out bikes for a few weeks to find the right one and now the very proud owner of a GG250. Just spent this evening riding round and round a field having fun. Joined a club and will be going to their practice day in a few weeks time. I've got lots to learn.

hi all just in the last week bought my first bike at the age of 31 having been to watch my cousin ride trials when I was about 13 and always fancying it anyone else in the local area who could point me in direction of anywhere to ride I am just starting of learning basic control as of yet but cant wait to make progress and getting practicing

Hi, I am a restorer in Wisconsin. I will be looking for parts for a 1975 Kawasaki KT250. NOS preffered. Right now I need left and right handlebar switches. A good set of pit free fork tubes would be appreciated. Would rather not need to rechrome and centerless grind if possible. Thank you for any help. Mark

Hi Everyone, Well i've just bought myself a used Sherco 250cc after not owning a bike for 16yrs. The last one i had was a motocross and now the kids are growing up i fancied to try something different! ................................................................................ ........................................... And something different it is.... not had so much fun in ages although just learning to ride again is a major task. Hopefully over the coming months my skill level will improve beyond novice with no idea to someone who can take in a section or two. Anyway just wanted to say hi ............................

Hi: newby to forum here I am restoring a '68 Greeves Ranger which is a long distance trials unit that was, I believe, only sold in the States. Currently I am attempting to install a solid state ignition system that I bought from Electrex World. It is their kit no. STK-970 which is supposed to fit any of the 9E/32A/34A engines. The problem I am having is that when the stator plate is installed, it cannot be rotated far enough to bring the timing marks into alignment. Does anyone here have any experience with this kit? Hi all, I've been riding enduro and continue to crave harder and harder terrain. In an effort to improve my enduro ability, I picked up a used trials bike. The thing is, I like riding trials as much as enduro, maybe more! I've been lurking on the forum for a good bit but came up with a problem on my bike that is going to require some TLC which finally got me off my butt to join. I am posting to the appropriate tech forum next. Thanks for maintaining a great forum!

Hello, my name's Felix, I'll keep it short, I used to be into trialing quite a lot and had a Gas Gas 125, however I had to sell it to free up some cash, it didn't really matter coz I am pretty crap but I still missed having a bike, recently I came across a Yamaha TY250 Pinky, it's a nice bike. Anyone else have one and know any common faults with them or easy jobs I can do to make it better, I'm not much of a mechanic, I'm gonna wash it off and clean it out, put some stickers on, that'll make my Pink bike look cool

howdy been in and outa trials for some time myself,just picked up a beta 50 its a mid 90's for my 4 yr. old boy .wondering about parts,where to get them?.need a rear shock.it also seems to either run really well or not at all, will just stall out while riding .we just picked it up today. anybody with any tips.

Hi! I'm Hans Jacobs, 28 from Belgium. I'm very new to the trial scene. Just bought my first trials bike after having a go on one a few months ago. I have enough experience on motorcycles (been circuit racing for years). I raced in the german superbike championship for 3 years, used enduro for training,... Worked on bikes my entire life. So mainly i'm here for tips & tricks. I can wheelie, drive over obstacles (40-60 Cm max), have fun with it :-) But, as every newbie it seems , i have severe balancing problems . I only have my bike for 3 weeks now, and i think it will get better with training :-) I'm looking forward to share stories/experiences on this board…

I am 6"1 and 14 stone, whick bike would i be best suited to (does it make any differance) where are the nearby clubs i live in Rotherham and also my son 12yrs also wants to start with me, would we be better buying the same make of bike. Hi All Just a quick post to say hello. A little bit abt me. I raced schoolboy motorcross abt five years ago but stopped after a few nasty crashes and really i need to focus on my education instead of my racing . But now im hooked again after borrowing my brothers old Yamaha TY250 aircooled monoshock to follow my nephew abt on his pw50. Ive done a few practise sessions but the bike is not up to competing with the water cooled bikes so im currently saving up for a cheap bike, but thats easier said than done when ur a student . Hi All, I'm in Suffolk. Just bought a TL125 with a view to getting a licence and moving on to a TL250 or similar 4 stroke trials / trail lump. I'm a 45 year-old Civil Engineer currently working in Cambridge and haven't ridden a bike in 25 years. YIKES ! Basically I'd like to hook up with anyone interested in twinshocks and if they have a Honda - even better Anyway, hi to you all. This looks like a great forum and resource. Dave

hi all i've been lurking around the forums for a few months now for the excellent tutorials and trials tips and thought i'd sign up. i found myself increasingly interested in trials as our mob love to ride tight technical sections on the dirt bikes and try to clear them. so bought a 2011 sherco 290 a few months ago and had about six rides on it now. it's all a very steep learning curve but found it's had a huge impact on the dirt riding already. this vid was my first ride on the sherco 290, and claire's fourth ride on her gas gas 125. definitely confirms our status at trials noobs.

Well I am finally done round 1. The Montesa is back together and running. I tore it down to the frame, painted and rebuilt it. New rear shocks, tires, seat and 1 new lower fork. It took me 1.5 weeks to get the forks off and now I can rebuild the front end in 30 minutes. Fun and a lot of learning. I still need HELP! Front forks are rebuilt but I have parts missing. 1 fork was seized - it was missing the lower fork piston bushing. I had to get one machined and then honed down to fit. It works amazing now BUT this fork is 1.5" shorter than the other. The shock I did not rebuild it missing something in the top half of the fork that stops the piston. Expla…

hi to everyone and must say tha its great to find a site where everyone seems so willing to share info and help.My dilemma is that i have what i believe to be a 1987 tr34 and cant seem to find rear discs for it,pads arent a problem but would prefer to buy both together and be sure they both work well together.Also my friend assures me its a 310cc model but cant seem to find proof of existence.I also have an 87 ty 250 i may restore but need seat and rear mudguard and maybe back wheel for it...i say may restore because dont know if it would be worth my while.I hope to get sum pics up soon and start said project so hope someone is willing to help me sourcing parts and tech i…
